Soho and Bloomsbury with Andrew Davis
The ever popular Andrew Davies has a new tour beginning at the British Museum where we will have coffee on arrival. To quote Andrew: 'Soho was once a royal hunting ground; Bloomsbury boasted fields and huge mansions. Today we will savour the squares, terraces and nooks and crannies that abound.' The tour will cover China Town, the Windmill Theatre, Tin Pan Alley, Ronnie Scott's Club, Soho Square, St Giles in the Fields, the Foundling Museum and we will find out about the famous individuals from Benjamin Disraeli, William Morris, Dorothy L. Sayers to Tommy Steele and Paul Raymond who contributed to the eclectic character of the area. There will be independent time for lunch in Soho and the tour will conclude back at the British Museum.
